I LOVE birthdays. (Well mostly just mine.) And this year was no exception. In my usual celebratory fashion I celebrated “Birthday Week”, starting Sunday last week. There were ups (and unfortunately downs) but overall it was a great week. Here’s how I celebrated inside (and outside) my Bullet Journal.

I’ll be honest, with life as busy as it is, I … um… a little bit forgot that Birthday week began Sunday. So not much happened other than adding a little something with my Pilot Metropolitan (medium) fountain pen (purple ink). FOUR days and counting until the big 2-8.

Okay here’s where we get serious about Birthday Week. My sister (soon to be guest posting here about her own BuJo) joined me for lunch at work with two of my favorite people (my nieces – fully decked in their “auntie” shirts).
And now new to the pen collection, my awesome sister got me this beautiful Noodlers Ink Ahab pen!
Thursday, September 22, 2016 (My Actual Birthday)
The day has arrived! At 6:07PM I’m officially 28 years old. YAY! Today I enjoyed lunch out with a co-worker, messages up the wahzoo on my phone & notifications on Facebook. (Plus some phone calls and emails). And even a face-time chat with my 16 month old niece.

Had another lunch “date” today with a good friend. And will celebrate a little more with a ladies movie night at my church. If you’re a fan of good (clean) TV shows – you’ll want to check out When Calls The Heart… Sigh…Jack Thorton.

This was probably the best day in birthday week. Because…I GOT TO GO TO THE ZOO! I love the zoo… probably a little too much for being 28 but whatever. We headed over to the Utica zoo and enjoyed the day. It was also my niece’s first zoo experience!

Normally birthday week would end Saturday, but this year it went a day longer. I very rarely get to spend time with just my parents, so we took a little adventure to the Fly Creek Cider Mill in Cooperstown. Apple cider donuts and fudge were involved…need I say more?
